About Marten Bronmans
born 1982, Rotterdam, Netherlands
Biography
Marten Bronmans makes photographic work using film. His images establish a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These meticulously planned works seduce the viewer into a world of ongoing equilibrium and the interval that articulates the stream of daily events.
His works are an investigation into representations of concrete situations, depictions and ideas that can only be realized in photography. By emphasizing aesthetics, he creates work in which a fascination with the clarity of content and an uncompromising attitude towards conceptual and minimal art can be found.
Marten Bronmans currently lives and works in London.
